Does there have to be a reason?

It’s been quiet around here the last few days…many apologies.
But good to see people are still reading and leaving comments - and may anyone who’s spammed me spend eternity with Daily Mail readers with a soundtrack of Celine Dion, in the ninth circle of hell: the one that is reserved for betrayers.
Anyway, there are many good people in this world - and they deserve something good and life-affirming.
…so why not this?

we are three episodes from the end of Battlestar Galactica: this is *perfect*.
Never seen it, but glad this is perfect : )
fondest memory listening to Hendrix… which there has been many!
was on a road trip in highlands topless in the sun being driven along the scotish scenery content with whiskey. Shame he had to go so soon like the others in the 27 club.
PS
read bout the pixies new album?
SW
Sounds cool…btw is that a Pixies new studio album?!?!
yeah, i read in the NME frank black was saying a new one will be recorded and a film director should act as producer to it. To give it a different sound.
SW
never apologise for any absences young fella.
Hope you are well. Planning any trips west during your extended break???
Scott - they should get David Lynch in to do it, that would be so cool!
JC - when the extended break kicks in, I will definitely come west, leaving 17 Seconds Towers in charge of the rottweilers obviously : )
Sorry Ed, I’m still reading your words; and been reccording a 7 demo with my band somewhere in the french countryside, (and will be a father for the 2nd time !!!).
Hi Jalal - good to hear from you again, glad you’re still reading my words, and congratulations on being about to become a father for the second time. No children at 17 Seconds Towers (our cats are like substitute children), though I recently became an uncle… : )
yeh, Quentin Tarratonenoiehfebf ( you know who) was mentioned….
John Waters would be good haha but Lynch would prob be better given they cover ‘In Heaven’ and have very Lynch like themes.
SW
I reckon they should get Lynch over Tarantino.
John Waters producing a Pixies album? Interesting thought, I can see him doing a B-52s LP (early albums anyway) or Divine (obviously, allowing for the fact Divine has been dead for the last twenty years but the point remains the same).
One day I WILL do a post attempting to marry song titles of songs with Alfred Hitchcock films.
Possibilities would be:
Cud -Rich and Strange
Beastie Boys -Sabotage
PJ Harvey -Rebecca
Sonic Youth -Shadow Of A Doubt
Siouxsie and the Banshees -Spellbound
Duran Duran -Notorious
U2-Vertigo
Elvis Costello -Psycho
Telefon Tel Aviv -The Birds
B52s -Topaz
Anyone who has any other ideas, let me know!
that is so original and witty.
SW
Hitchcock…
not made it to Ayr yet unfortunately.
SW
Sorry to hear that…Fife must be exerting a strange hold over you!
Re: Celine Dion…
Arnold Brown (comedian) said he complained to the manager in HMV about the way some of the CDs were orginaised. When asked what the problem was, Arnold replied: “I do not consider Celine Dion to be Easy Listening.”
Oh so true…
Arnold Brown is a God. I’ve seen him on several occasions and been privileged to meet him. Oor kid does comedy and I’m proud that he’s gigged with him.
