RIP Jake

jake-the-cat

This is Jake, one of the two 17 Seconds Towers cats. Yesterday, he died suddenly, aged three and a half, hence a lack of postings here yesterday.

RIP boy, you were awesome, and sorry I ever grumbled about you trying to eat my iPod headphones. May you find many mice to catch, whereever you may be…

There are apparently people out there who don’t like cats -presumably the same people who think it’s okay to bully colleagues, think that global warming is a Marxist Myth, and think Celine Dion is a really great artist.

In honour of you, Jake, The Sugarcubes.

Oh, and obviously, the Cure:

Normal service will be resumed here shortly.

I haven’t commented here for quite some time, but I just want to say that I’m sorry for your loss; I am fortunate enough to have a husband who doesn’t think I’m a crazy cat lady (despite the fact we only have one cat) so I totally understand that the loss of a pet can be very difficult. It’s tough, and I’m sorry.

Cheers Laurie, thanks very much x

  3. Ken says:

Sorry to hear this Ed. You can get pretty attached to a pet, even when they have slightly irritating habits…. Like our cat, Truffle, who likes to share your lap with the laptop; not a very practical combination. Dead affectionate, though :)

  4. Ed says:

Aye…his sister’s been moping as much as we have today!

  5. Christina says:

Hi guys, it’s been a shite week - but the appearance of what will be the first full CD album release on 17 Seconds Records is easing the pain ever so slightly.

    x
